By becoming a member of the MPBTA, you will receive the benefit of several programs and services that will encourage your employees to use mass transit, carpool, vanpool and other means of alternative transportation. As well as an opportunity to be part of a collective voice to create a desirable place to do business.  These programs and services include:

Emergency Ride Home (ERH): Studies have shown that the #1 reason employees are hesitant to rideshare is because they fear they will not be able to get home or pick up their child in the case of an emergency. ERH is a program that provides employees a FREE! ride home via taxi in the case of an emergency or unscheduled overtime. This free ride can include a stop at a school or daycare center to pick up a sick child.

Transportation Consulting: We have the knowledge and expertise to assist your company and your employees with questions and concerns regarding transportation. We will come to your company and coordinate rideshare informational events for your employees to learn about their commute options, as well as serve as a direct resource regarding transportation issues.

Advocacy for local and regional transportation projects and commute services that affect your company and your employees: The MPBTA continually works on our members' behalf to improve the services and infrastructure by which your employees commute to work.

Employee Commute Survey: The MPBTA coordinates an annual employee commute survey for the purpose of finding out how many employees use commute options. Attitudinal information is also discovered, which enables companies to develop and revise their commute programs to best serve their employees.

Emergency Response and Recovery Group: The MPBTA coordinates a group of safety and security personel, from various businesses in the Moffett Park area, to share best practices, develop relationships between businesses and OES personnel, and develop mutual agreements.
