The utility is replacing portions of its large transmission gas pipelines as part of its extensive, multiyear program to improve the safety of its natural gas system. PG&E is installing a 24 inch gas transmission line which requires heavy equipment. Following installation, a hydrostatic pressure test will be performed.
Due to the size of the pipe and equipment, the location of the pipe, and the restrictive space of the two lane road, Manila Drive has been closed to cars between Ellis Road and Enterprise Way.
